Based in High Wycombe, this Payroll Specialist position would be looking after one Payroll Administrator and responsible for processing the payroll, for the permanent members of staff.

**Description**

**Payroll Specialist - Responsibilities**
- Administer Payroll accurately in accordance with their contractual terms and conditions of employment.
- To ensure that payroll spreadsheets are completed and are input into the system
- Complete all payroll deductions, both statutory and others, are correctly calculated
- To liaise with the external payroll provider
- Accurately prepare journals and posted in a timely manner
- Payroll year end processing, for all payrolls managed
- To assist and provide analysis, as required, for the accounting year end e.g. analysis for auditors etc.
- To keep up to date with current employment legislation e.g. PAYE, national insurance, pension legislation etc.
- Responsible for the development of the Payroll Administrator
- To be responsible for any payroll queries

**The Successful Payroll Specialist...**
- Previous Payroll UK exposure is essential
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Packages - in Particular Excel
- Payroll Qualifications - not essential but highly desirable
- Previous People management - desirable
