**Bookings Assistant**
We are looking for an adaptable Bookings Assistant for our small but very established client in Shipley. This business works closely with the NHS and other public authorities, providing a range of interpretation and translation services.
You will be the first point of contact for interpreter bookings, ensuring their needs are met in line with service level agreements.
**Key Duties**:
- Responsible for appropriately signposting interpreter if required.
- Liaising with interpreters regarding pending, amended, changed or cancelled bookings.
- Completing administration tasks in a timely manner.
- Deal with complex booking enquiries, issues or problems and be the first point of contact for minor complaints or concerns and/or escalating to the correct person.
- Accurately recording information in the system.
- Create, amend or cancel interpreter booking requests.
- Regularly updating clients on the status of their booking.
- First line support for interpreter enquiries, issues or problems such as portal use or travel expenses.

- GCSE Grade C in Maths & English

**What this job is not**:
- It’s not a typical call-centre - this is a small, close-knit team, dealing with urgent requests. You need to be adaptable, calm and pragmatic.
- It’s not scripted - you will use your own initiative on every task.
- It’s not an admin role - this role is systems based and involves a lot of time on the phone.
- It’s not routine - no two days are the same, but time will fly
- It’s not a steady pace - sometimes it’s busy, sometimes it’s quiet. We need someone who can adapt to this.

**Salary**: £23,400 per annum
**Holidays**: 28 days increasing with service
**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week, Mon to Fri, 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm shifts.
**Location**: Shipley, 3 days in the office, 2 days from home - soon moving to a brand-new office space in Shipley

‘On call’ cover on evenings/weekends on a rotational basis is required once confident in the role. Additional payment is provided for this.
