It is an exciting time to be joining the Mayoral Combined Authority. We have a wide variety of exciting projects that we are working on which will help shape the West Yorkshire region.

In 2021 the £1.8bn devolution deal was secured for West Yorkshire. This meant the first Mayor of West Yorkshire was subsequently elected, with Tracy Brabin taking up post in May 2021. The devolution deal and election of the Mayor has enabled us to start to drive up living standards for local communities while tackling the climate emergency and helping to deliver our commitment to become a net zero carbon city region by 2038.

Leading a team of two web and paid media officers, you will play a key role shaping the future of the organisation's web presence and paid media strategies. Further elevating the digital presence of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and the Mayor of West Yorkshire.

**The Role**:
This is a varied, fast-paced role which will suit a flexible and collaborative person with a track record a building strong working relationship.

Reporting to the Senior Digital Media Officer, you will:

- Lead and deliver web content strategies that enhances the profile of the Mayor of West Yorkshire, the Combined Authority and its activity, projects, and objectives.
- Lead on web content development best practices, project design and development across the organisation’s web presence.
- Manage intelligence related to user testing, journey mapping, personas, online content management, and monitor customer feedback to identify patterns and trends to improve user experience.
- Work in close collaboration with colleagues in the media, digital, marketing, policy, campaigns and external agencies to deliver paid media for the West Yorkshire Mayor and Combined Authority.
- Lead and manage accessibility projects and best practice standards. Ensuring digital communications and content meet WCAG accessibility standards and promote an inclusive approach.
- Advise the mayor, directors, elected members and board members on strategic and tactical web and paid media opportunities.

**About You**:
You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:

- Hold a degree in Media, Digital, PR or communications or relevant demonstrable practical experience.
- Significant experience using content management systems and web research tools to inform user journey and web content design.
- Significant practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role.
- Experience creating digital content that is accessible, inclusive, and in-line with public sector regulations.
- Experience developing, delivering, and evaluating multi-channel campaigns that span the full digital marketing spectrum.
- Experience delivering paid political advertising across social media platforms including, Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn and Twitter, Google Ads, Microsoft ads.
- Knowledge of the current political landscape and how this impacts the Mayor, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, and the work that we do.
