**The Role**
We are looking for a Claims Adjuster in the Casualty team to proactively adjust Financial Institutions and Professional Lines claims, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service to both our internal and external customers.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- To develop a thorough understanding of the underwriting and claims within the Management Professional Lines portfolio.
- To proactively adjust claims within your authority level and in accordance with the Canopius claims vision, Claims Manual and obligations; ensuring and delivering excellent service to all our customers.
- To ensure that sufficient financial provisions, in accordance with the Canopius reserving philosophy, are held for all claims within your portfolio.
- To develop and maintain close and collaborative working relationships with your divisional underwriters and actuaries.
- To ensure delegated claims are managed in accordance with Canopius claims values; ensuring effective oversight of TPAs/Service Providers via regular reporting on key performance indicators, peer reviews, file reviews and generally sharing of best practice.
- To instruct and proactively oversee lawyers, adjusters and experts from the Canopius panel.
**Skills and experience**:
- Experienced claims practitioner with Financial Institutions and Professional lines claims.
- Good understanding of policy coverage, benefits and exclusions.
