**Housing Inclusion Officer - x2 Fixed Term (9 and 12 months respectively)**

**The Role**

The Royal Borough of Greenwich has high levels of housing need, and the Housing Inclusion Service aims to prevent homelessness wherever possible, and to enable people to access different housing options with advice and assistance via our dedicated teams.

Our Housing Inclusion Officers manage their own caseloads and are responsible for meeting set targets for homelessness prevention. This involves providing high quality housing advice and support through casework with applicants and effective working relationship with partners.

**The Requirement**

You must be an excellent communicator both written and oral, with good IT and negotiation skills. You will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of social housing legislation, and ability to deliver the duties required by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. You will also have a strong customer care focus and casework management skills including the ability to identify and deal sensitively with contentious issues for customers with varying support needs. We are seeking highly motivated, resilient, and confident individuals with good planning and organisational skills, who want to help us deliver excellent services.
