You’ll be someone who can work pro-actively, managing your own tasks, but you’ll also be confident collaborating with others, communicating regularly with senior managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners to enable us to serve our clients effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to our clients.

Overview

To assist with the provision of an efficient, effective and professional administrative support service to the team.

The Business Support team are extremely important to the firm as they handle a lot of the internal admin, therefore allowing the professional members of the team to focus on chargeable work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible are a range of administrative duties within the One Advisory Stream. Activities are likely to be varied and related to the activities of each department.
- Tasks may include a range of general office duties.
- To provide an exceptional client experience and support client initiatives within the firm, as well as being responsive and helping to create a positive impression at all touch points.
- A range of administrative tasks connected with Midlands One Advisory
- Mail merge/Research
- Preparation of engagement letters
- Client onboarding
- Pitchly (Deals Database)
- CMS updates
- Timecard administrator
- Commercial management for the team
- Preparation of reports
- Workday - Reporting
- Hospitality register - PE/audit connections
- PA duties to Partner/Principal x 3 as and when required inc:

- Diary management
- Expenses
- Travel
- Meeting Room bookings/Setting up meetings

**Requirements**:

- Accurate keyboard skills
- Good knowledge of all Microsoft packages
- Previous experience of office / administration services

Personal qualities
- Adept at managing multiple tasks whilst keeping track of own workload using a ‘to do list or similar. Will deal with competing requests in a confident and mature manner, weighing up urgency and deadlines to decide on priorities. Will use the wider team to get work done as necessary. Advises managers when they can expect their work if unable to process promptly.
- When faced with a new challenge will use initiative to work out the best way to do it, referring to Insite and colleagues to identify efficient solutions.
- Has a flexible approach and is adaptable. Is a team player willing to make a contribution to the wider team. Advises colleagues when has spare capacity to help and or is in need of support. Mutually supportive of others and willing to help in different departments as required.
- Is receptive to new ideas and remains focused during times of change and promotes change amongst team by own behaviour.
- Presents a professional appearance and attitude at all times, as may be required to meet and greet clients.
- Discreet when handling confidential information.
- Is confident with communication. Recognises that different people require different approaches and adjusts style appropriately.
