This is a full time, permanent position with the role to be based at their site in Ellesmere Port.

You would be joining a team of various Managers who together work with the Managing Directors to ensure the growth and expansion plans are progressing in line with expectations and your role would be integral to this, which is to manage the day to day activities relevant to Health and Safety, coordinating activities required to meet Company, Plant, Stakeholder and regulatory standards. You will be supported by their Senior External Consultant who together with the relevant Managers and with the Managing Directors to undertake your role.

You would be based at their plant in Ellesmere Port but would be expected to travel to the other plant and Head Office in Lincoln when required (estimated to be one visit per month).

Duties and requirements for the role include:

- General Day to Day Health & Safety for the sites (Ellesmere Port and Lincoln, the latter being the smaller site from a H&S perspective).
- Maintaining (and formulation when needed) of company risk assessments, method statements, Health & Safety Policies and Records.
- Assisting in the managing sub-contractors on site including permit to work.
- Daily site inspections and checks.
- Site audits & inspections.
- Maintaining GMP Processes and Documentation.
- Working with Engineering, Quality and Operations Departments.
- Delivering basic training and toolbox talks to site staff.
- Accident and Near Miss Reporting.

Qualifications and experience required:

- Hold a degree (or equivalent) qualification and/or relevant experience.
- Knowledge of corrugated product requirements and regulation is preferred.
- Hold a NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma qualification.
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety legislation, including legal requirements and regulation.
- Able to operate and communicate at all levels of the organisation.

Package for this opportunity:

- Salary is £25k-£30k, depending on experience.
- Standard office hours for this role Monday to Friday (8 hours per day, 8.30am to 5.00pm which includes 30 min break).
- The role will require flexibility in hours dependant on department demands.
- 20 days holiday plus public holidays.
- Travel expenses covered as required.
