Why we want you: The International Youth Volunteering Programme (IYVP) can offer young people aged 18-25 who live in Wales the opportunity to travel to Portugal to take part in a full-time, structured, and supported volunteer programme. All our placements are fully funded, with travel, accommodation, visas and health insurance costs covered, and volunteers receive a small monthly allowance to cover additional expenses. This is the perfect opportunity for those interested in gaining valuable skills, having new experiences, and giving back to the community. The personal and professional skills developed on these placements (independence, resilience, working with vulnerable people, etc), as well as the opportunity to live in a new country and create connections with people from different walks of life are extremely beneficial for any young person looking to start a career in this sector or similar. We are keen to hear from individuals, especially those who do not normally get the chance to volunteer overseas, who are passionate and motivated for this kind of work, but who also understand that these types of placements require adaptability and resilience.- Tasks: Support the charity shop, Ponto Vermelho, with social media, sorting donations and organising the displays.

- Assist with projects which help the homeless and the elderly- Skills: Good communication skills.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Wilingness to bring commitment and initiative to your work.
- Friendly, open to new experiences and working with people from different cultural backgrounds.
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to work on a range of different projects.
- Serious about helping individuals and local communities.- Benefits: Meet new people and be part of a dynamic and inclusive team.
- A great opportunity to develop your existing skills and gain new ones.
- Learn Portuguese and how to communicate in a second language (non-verbal communication).
- Gain experience working in a practical and office-based environment.
- Make an impact on people’s lives, either through small or big actions.
- Training and induction before and during the placement.
