Our East London based, Local Authority Client is looking for a HR Systems Analyst to join them on a permanent basis, working in their Business Intelligence Team.

The Business Intelligence Team is responsible for providing accurate and consistent HR management information and statistics to the Council. The HR Systems Analyst will manipulate, analyse, and interpret complex data in partnership with the HR Directorateand the wider council to deliver on corporate objectives.

This role is Hybrid working with occasional attendance on site required.

HR Systems Analyst Key Duties:

- Support the HR Directorate in the development of HR and Payroll statistics and KPI's using iTrent and other relevant data sources. This will be achieved using Business Objects to create or update existing reports.
- To take a pivotal role in providing Intelligence support to HR Specialists, HR Services, HR Partners and other managers across the council.
- Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex HR data, identifying key findings and action or improvements that are needed as a result in partnership with HR Business Partners.
- Maximise the use of HR systems to automate standard processes, assisting with reviewing and documenting processes undertaken within HR and making recommendations for their development.
- To lead on and support the development of Power BI reporting as an alternative to Business Objects. This will be via the development of dashboards and data models to enable better visualisation of data.
- Support and champion the introduction and implementation of new software developments, reporting tools, interfaces and process reviews.

HR Systems Analyst Key Skills / Experience:

- Significant experience of manipulating, analysing and interpreting data, identifying the key findings and action or improvments that are needed as a result.
- Skills and creation and maintenance of Business Object reports and the integration and extraction of SQL from these reports so that it can be used with Power BI
- Experience of analysing data and summarising for different audiences
- Strong ability to use or learn to use software to extract and manipulate data sets
- Ability to carry out high level analysis of strategic trends and insight to provide advice.
- High level of data manipluation, analyse and interpret numerical data.
- Good knowledge of local government and the policy context around it is desirable
