An exciting multiple Opportunities within Design Engineering at Submarines Raynesway, Derby.

Our Submarines business are currently working on a large campaign in which we are looking for circa 100 engineers across multiple engineering disciplines. As part of this we are looking for a number of people with a background in Mechanical Design Engineering to join us in (but not limited to) Mechanical Design, Component Design, Stress Engineering, Thermo-fluid Engineering, Pressure Vessel Engineering.

**What you will be doing**:
You will be responsible for the creation of component/assembly/systems designs and associated through life justification that meet their requirements and product attributes, i.e. life, cost availability and safety margins. Additionally you will:

- shall create solutions and justifications that are robust against variation, taking account the full life cycle (concept to disposal).
- have an understanding of and ability to integrate cross-discipline engineering concepts which include manufacturing engineering, service engineering, hydrodynamics, thermodynamics,

**Who we are looking for**:

- Ideally, you will have experience in one of the above disciplines, but this does not need to be limited to Submarines.
- It is preferable that you are Degree Qualified or Apprentice Trained in a relevant engineering discipline, however this is not essential as experience is equally beneficial.
- External Skills/Experience can be from industries such as Civil Nuclear, Marine, Petro-Chemical and Oil & Gas.
