**The role**

An Organiser of one of the world's most prestigious events is looking for a **Venue Infrastructure Specialist** who will work as part of the team responsible for the design, installation, and ongoing support of the underlying IT infrastructure that supports business operations across all venues.

The main purpose of the job is to engage collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to ensure IT infrastructure is fit for purpose.

**The responsibilities**:

- Act as the onsite liaison point between the Estate Development team and the IT team, understanding strategic priorities and advising on specific works which affect containment and cabling connectivity between projects and existing infrastructure
- Lead for IT the initiative for strategic ducting across venues - feeding into and influencing concept, design, planning, and delivery - ensuring that this fully integrates with the desire for fully connected venues
- Lead tactical cabling and ducting initiatives, including managing containment routes and capacities for ongoing operations and new project requirements, ensuring we have both a plan and capacity to meet business needs.
- Represent the IT team at all Estate Project planning meetings as required and lead project review meetings on behalf of IT, ensuring that anything that impacts IT infrastructure is raised and communicated to the wider team
- Ensure that all infrastructure works are carried out to the highest standards and in accordance with site cabling standards, this includes ensuring all works being undertaken are carried out in compliance with Site Working Rules
- Provide input when requested in areas of expertise
- Recommend the specification of all IT venue infrastructure equipment on behalf of the IT department

**Essential experience**:

- Excellent planning, prioritization, and delivery skills and comfortable with periods of pressure
- Experience in communicating with end-users, technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, articulate features, technical designs
- Experienced in design & estimation for structured cabling, fibre, and copper
- Experience in delivery and coordinating building fit-outs from design concept through to deployment/construction and closeout.
- Technical Certifications across Infrastructure CNIT, CNIDP for example
- Experience with Revit, Auto-CAD, and Viewpoint (FourProjects).
- Demonstrable Project Management experience
- Understanding of IP-connected devices and technologies
- Ability to find creative and innovative solutions to reduce spending, while maintaining and/or improving quality and reliability.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to simultaneously work and manage multiple projects, prioritize & consistently deliver results in ambiguous, complex, and fast-paced environments
- Considerable recent experience in an enterprise infrastructure-related
- Excellent presentation skills, and ability to back up technical proposals with rock-solid solutions
