_Front Desk & Student Services Officer _
International House Manchester is a private English language school and football academy, servicing international students.
**Summary**
This person will provide customer-facing support and assistance to all students, prospective students and visitors at the school reception. As the first point of contact in the school, they need to be able to provide a warm and personable welcome, dealing with any queries and questions and directing callers/visitors to the appropriate member of staff as needed.
There is an inherent sales role to this post as many callers will be prospective students, Educational Tour Operators, agents or parents looking for help regarding the various educational and football programmes offered by the school. As such, the post holder will need to become knowledgeable about the full range of courses and accommodation services offered and their respective prices, in order to be able to assess how best to meet needs and provide the information required.

**Duties & responsibilities**:
- Customer facing_
- To manage the school reception desk, handling queries and questions from current students, prospective students, visiting agents and parents.
- To take and screen phone calls, handling queries as above and directing callers to the appropriate member of staff as needed.
- To take ownership of the reception and student break-out area ensuring that it appears tidy, smart and welcoming at all times.
- To assist with the induction of new students and ensure documentation is collected from them and uploaded accurately and on time.
- To assist with the collection and processing of student feedback.
- Any other customer facing duties as requested by your line manager.
- Sales Support_
- As required by the principal or marketing staff, to show visitors around the city centre or the football training ground etc.
- To welcome visitors to the school and when appropriate, show them around the school, introducing them to staff and students etc.
- To take payments from students, both current and new, as required.
- To take direct walk-in bookings, ensuring that new students complete the relevant forms correctly and checking that they have the correct visa / permission to study / leave to enter.
- Any other sales support duties as requested by your line manager.
- Student Support_
- To manage the social programme, including its preparation, promotion and organisation.
- To monitor students late to or absent from class as per the relevant school policy, recording details as required.
- To provide information to students regarding places of worship, how to access medical and dental care, police registration etc.
- To assist members of staff by welcoming new arrivals and helping with the first day induction procedure.
- To be the first port of call for students with questions or complaints about their course or accommodation, taking note of the issue reported and passing on the details to the appropriate member of staff at a later time.
- To collect photos and video interviews of students (checking consent) in school to help the marketing team with their social media marketing campaigns
- Any other student support duties as requested by your line manager.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
