**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Business Development & Marketing Manager is a key role within London Borough of Tower Hamlet’s (LBTH) corporate commercialisation agenda. Situated centrally, the Business Development & Marketing role will work closely with stakeholders across the teamsresponsible for managing LBTH venue spaces.

The Business Development & Marketing primary responsibilities are to: identify new income opportunities; promote venue spaces internally and externally; enhance the council’s brand and market presence; undertake direct sales and engagement with customers;improve business processes and standards.

Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, partnerships, growth areas, trends, customers, and services.

Deliver excellent customer service and be the first point of contact for customer communications.

Foster and develop relationships, working collaboratively with Service Managers and Staff from across the council and in partner organisations to achieve revenue goals.

Develop and implement marketing strategies in partnership with the Communications Service to expand LBTH’s customer base, market share and income generation.

Develop and champion improved standards and processes to enhance the experience of customers using the council’s venues, providing coaching and skills-sharing with other staff members from teams across the council.

**Qualifications & Experience**

Degree level qualification in business marketing, sales or relevant field OR proven working experience as a business development manager, marketing executive or a relevant role in project management.

Experience of leading, developing and motivating staff.

Experience of developing and delivering excellent customerfocused services.

Experience of project management; delivering or supporting projects which have significantly improved processes, income generation and customer service

Experience of managing marketing, promotional and social media activities to develop a service and business and deliver quantifiable improvement.

Track record of building and maintaining constructive working relationships with a

wide range of stakeholders
