Our client is one of the UK's leading corporate horticulture companies with specialist divisions providing external ground maintenance, corporate landscaping, construction, and winter services including gritting. As a result of their growth, they are lookingfor an experienced **Regional Manager** to join the team in**Hertfordshire**.

You will effectively manage the south grounds maintenance division to exceed our customers' expectations. To manage resources effectively, working to maximise efficiencies to enable your area to achieve agreed budgets, which will be used to generate sufficientworking capital to grow the business and you be responsible for around £1m of work, with teams in Kent, Hertfordshire, and Cambridgeshire.

**General Duties / Responsibilities**

**Customer Care**:

- Create a positive impression with clients, understanding what is important to them, and work to exceed their expectations, always presenting a polite and responsible attitude to drive customer retention.
- Understand what services the company can offer, promote the company wherever possible and feedback potential leads from sites, local press, and observations. To always present yourself in a professional manner and ensure your vehicle is clean, tidy, andfree from defect.

**Engagement**:

- Day to day management of colleagues to ensure they know what is expected of them, making sure they have the tools to carry out their job and are achieving their visits.
- Create a culture of continual improvement and teamwork.
- Maintain and develop a professional and effective operations team.
- Identify and nurture talent from within to support growth.

**Compliance**:

- Follows the HR and H&S company procedures.
- Health and Safety
- Promote a positive health and safety culture within the business.

**Financial performance**:
To create an acceptable budget, which is delivered to enable the company to fund its growth aspirations, through:

- Managing all resources effectively and efficiently.
- Negotiate customer price rises and ensure customer orders are received on time.
- Ensure quotes are prepared on a timely basis and details are provided to the finance team to invoice the client.
- Identify and purchase the most appropriate materials, plant, machinery etc for relevant tasks and to ensure that regular routine maintenance and daily checks are undertaken, keeping accurate and detailed records.

**Requirements**:

- + 5 years managerial or supervisory experience.
- UK Driving Licence
- Formal horticultural qualifications.
- Exceptional planning and organising skills.
- Excellent communicator, both face to face, verbally and in writing.
- Understands how to engage with colleagues and clients to get the best from them.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
- Good influencing and persuading skills.
- Computer literate, able to navigate new systems and extract relevant information; and
- Understands the need to follow company processes to deliver success.
