Established in 2007, my client is the largest independent, family-owned food supplier in the UK. With state-of-the-art facilities all over the country I am assisting them in their search for a new HR Manager to join them at a fantastic time of growth

**Job Summary**

Responsible for the management and continuous improvement of the HR function across all sites, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and retentionof employees.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Assess training and development needs and monitor training outcomes.
- Coach, guide and provide support to managers on HR related policies, procedures, best practice and employment legislation.
- Develop, maintain and improve HR related policies, procedures and systems.
- Support managers in the areas of performance management, people development and succession planning to ensure the business has the right people in the right place at the right time. Forecasting people needs and ensuring that these are being met to ensurewe have an internal pipeline of talent.
- Proactively support and manage employee relations cases from start to finish, in support of the Company’s values and to minimise the company's risk of litigation.
- Prepare HR KPIs, analysing data each period and driving discussions with the Senior Management Team and Directors to ensure remedial action plans are developed and implemented on an ongoing basis.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to develop an HR strategy.
- Ability to lead and develop an HR team.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- Well organised and able to meet deadlines.
- Able to travel to visit regional offices and sites regularly

**Knowledge and Experience**
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HR Manager/Senior Advisory role with a strong generalist background.
- Excellent coaching, influencing and relationship management skills.
- Experience of working with and developing HR Information Systems.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
