**GENERAL SUMMARY**

Provide central planning for all production programmes and contracts ensuring viable and economic production schedules are created utilising the ERP system (SAP). Provide leadership for the planning and scheduling team to create project plans from tendering to manufacturing /operational execution.

To coordinate and work with cross functional teams, in particular but not exclusively with, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Project Management, Finance and Shipping, to provide milestone Planning maintaining control and accuracy over all goods inventories, including all transactions, planning, materials scheduling and cost to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time.

**PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (But Not Limited to)**
- Functionally lead dedicated team of planners and schedulers focused on customer delivery dates
- Creation of production and loading/capacity forecast project plans based on hours for machining, assembly & test, material availability, priority, and cost.
- Generate project plans during contract handover stage.
- Rough cut modelling of requirements on SAP/Manual models
- Proactively drive and coordinate with functions involved in completing the scheduled tasks to deliver project milestones.
- Where slippages occur, ensure steps are taken and communicated to the Site Lead and relevant functional leads with a recovery plan.
- Work with scheduling to ensure that all materials are scheduled in line with the project plan.
- Provide weekly update to projects / operations function on project performance vs plan and indicate any reasons for slippages or improvements
- Working with SAP Super Users and Specification Team to ensure SAP Data Integrity
- Forward capacity planning with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and Project managers
- Create, maintain and execute material logistic strategies to manage inventory and control excess and obsolete materials.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual departmental operating and capital budgets; operates each function within the approved budget
- Responsible for reporting Materials related metrics to the organization.
- Coach, lead, and develop team leads and members to ensure organizational goals and objectives are met.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Generate High Level Plan from input from [not exhaustive] Operational hours, Supply Chain deliverables, agreed Project milestones and cost.
- Generate schedule to allow items, assemblies to be completed in time for HLP
- Ensure that all project issues are resolved with mínimal impact to project

**ESSENTIAL SKILLS / KPI’s**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of hands-on experience in a capital equipment manufacturing environment using MRP/SAP processes.
- Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP system (e.g. Oracle, JD Edwards).
- Proficiency in Word, Excel & Other MS Office Applications.
- Experience in production planning & demonstrable use of MRP system.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles & drawings.
- An understanding of electronic components and / or printed circuit boards (PCB’s).
- Knowledge of electro-hydraulic subsea control-type equipment.
- Strong background in the management of materials and sourcing within a design and manufacturing
- environment.

- Demonstrated critical thinking & logical skills with a proven track record in a complex factory environment.
