This is a hybrid role - A mix of working from our Manchester office, along with the flexibility of working from home too._

**What will I be doing?**
- Profitably underwrite Commercial Combined on a case-by-case basis, within Covéa’s appetite and underwriting criteria.
- Underwrite within Covéa strategy and authority limits and refer all cases outside of strategy or individual limits.
- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues and brokers as well as identifying new opportunities within our network.
- Attend training, review meetings and social events when required.
- Maintain, and endeavour to exceed, agreed service levels to both internal and external customers.
- Working closely with senior underwriters and supporting those more junior
- Maintain an accurate audit trail using Covéa systems, practices and procedures.
- Develop and maintain an up to date knowledge of:

- The commercial lines market
- The broking marketplace
- Legislation and litigation which could affect the writing of business

**What would we like to see in you?**
- Strong trading skills with experience in developing broker accounts to achieve profitable growth.
- Underwriting knowledge, specifically with previous experience in Commercial Combined
- Motivated, driven and adapts to change, positively displaying a can do attitude.
- Willingly provides help and support to others and has the ability to work cooperatively with others
- Demonstrates a keenness to undertake professional insurance qualifications
- Passionate about own development within the insurance industry
- The ability to assess and analyse data accurately and effectively
- The ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
- Good problem solving skills
- The ability to work independently but also as part of a team to deliver common goals.
- The ability to demonstrate good relationship management skills
- The ability to demonstrate meeting & exceeding personal and team objectives
- An awareness of the market and legal/industry developments
