One in five people among us, over 14 million people in total across the UK, are unable to thrive because of a lack of money. Turn2us exists to help people struggling to make ends meet. We do this by giving direct financial help though our own charitable grants; supporting people to increase their income through benefits, grants and other support; and by highlighting ways to reduce essential costs.

We’re looking for an Impact & Learning Officer to be part of our fight against poverty and financial insecurity in the UK. Joining a vibrant and creative team, the right person will be driven to tackle the poverty and the structural causes of poverty, and be driven to measure the impact of our work through an equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging (EDIB) lens.

As Impact & Learning Officer, you will continue to develop our approach to peer evaluation by co-producing monitoring, evaluation and learning plans and projects with people who experience financial insecurity. You will also support teams to develop their own evaluation skills so that we can foster a culture of continuous learning across Turn2us. This is an excellent opportunity to play a leading role in both shaping and implementing a critical element of our evidence base.

Although technical skills are required to perform this role, an open and inclusive approach to evaluation and impact is also essential. We believe that deep knowledge and understanding are created through discussion between people. We are looking for someone who can work confidently in partnership with other teams to learn from, and improve, our work.

If you join us at Turn2us, you will start on 25 days annual leave per annum (prorated for part time workers). Each year in the month you joined, you will receive additional years leave up to a maximum of 30 days. On top of this you will receive bank holidays. The charity also offers 2 volunteering days per year to allow staff to gain experiences and skills outside of work for example at a food bank or becoming a trustee at another charity.

We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are contractually required to work from the office a minimum of 4 days a month. Some roles may be required to be in the office more often than this and this will be agreed with the hiring manager upon starting at Turn2us.
