Head of Offshore Hydrogen

As Head of Offshore Hydrogen (f/m/d) you will be responsible to set a global growth strategy and targets for Offshore Hydrogen hybrids jointly with offshore strategy, ensure a global Offshore Hydrogen pipeline meeting our strategy and targets, and will be responsible for the demonstration and stepping stone offshore hydrogen projects, their development, maturation successful delivery to bid. This also includes the further establishment of our knowledge and innovation program required to deliver offshore hydrogen at scale.

In addition, you are responsible to manage the interface to the relevant functions supporting a successful project development, including the Hydrogen Hub in RWE Generation as well as other Hydrogen Stakeholders across the group.

**Your Tasks**
- Identify new offshore hydrogen projects/options and target markets and collaborate with regional development in the scouting and market entry phase for new hydrogen markets
- Support our regional development teams in combined power/hydrogen tenders/auctions and develop business development initiatives in Offshore Hydrogen
- Prepare for and participate in tenders/auctions for Offshore Hydrogen projects - in close collaboration with the Finance and Commercial functions in order to ensure optimal commercial decisions
- Representing RWE's interest in JV situations in close alignment with the Partnering team
- Collaborate with Partnering function to acquire new projects/options or start partnerships
- Develop projects in line with technical, commercial and HSSE standards, to deliver concrete development options ready for hand-over to country development teams
- Establish effective relationships with external stakeholders such as project partners, Government authorities, landowners, local stakeholders, etc.
- Build technical offshore hydrogen capabilities and knowledge base to same standards as for offshore power technology
- Further build a strong team to deliver on the future ambitions of RWE Offshore Hydrogen

**Your Profile**
- University degree or equivalent
- 10 years relevant work experience, ideally in the renewable industry, with a sound understanding of the offshore or green hydrogen market, project and technology development and experience in successfully delivering projects through to FID
- Innovation mindset, driven by delivering new business models and technologies to commercial scale with a balance approach to risk taking and strong sense for identification of promising opportunities
- Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams across geographies and in complex company settings is beneficial
- Established global network and ability to build trusted relationships with partners & stakeholders
- Success driven personality dedicated to deliver growth combined with strong commercial acumen and the ability and resilience to deal with uncertainty
- Strong HSE and wellbeing mindset
- Fluent English language skills are mandatory
