An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated paediatric Radiology Department who would like to develop and grow their Leadership and Management in the NHS.

You will be joining our friendly, flexible and welcoming paediatric department that encompasses 3 general x-ray rooms, DEXA, EOS scanner, CT and Spect CT scanners, 2 MRI scanner, theatre and mobile imaging. The x-ray department supports a range of specialities including neurosurgery, oncology, abdominal, vascular, forensic and musculo-skeletal work.

You will work as part of the radiology management team to provide a high quality, responsive diagnostic service to children in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.

You must have excellent communication and organisation skills, commitment to CPD and an excellent knowledge of Radiation Protection legislation and health and safety requirements to ensure patients receive the best possible quality care.

To lead, manage and supervise the accreditation processes in the radiology department, carrying out the required management and leadership tasks to support all.

To develop a quality structure (Project Plan) throughout the Radiology department, maintaining and developing the Quality Management System (QMS) as it relates to the Radiology within the Division of Pharmacy, Diagnostics and Genetics. The objective being that the Radiology Department becomes accredited, progressively more effective and efficient in quality terms and meets both regulatory and accreditation requirements.

To lead and provide support and guidance to the Departmental managers, Radiologists and Radiology team in the areas of document control, audit, corrective/preventative actions, incident management, management of training, asset and supplier records, and preparation for QSI accreditation inspections.

The post holder will be a key member of the Radiology Management Team and the Project Leader for Quality Service Imaging (QSI) Accreditation.
