This role involves taking responsibility for a wide range of HR, Recruitment and general administrative duties. You will be producing employee documents, such as contracts of employment and employment packs, and maintaining database systems to provide accurate information to the management teams and Payroll department. This is an extremely varied role that would suit an individual who thrives in a fast-paced working environment. Central Admin is at the heart of the business, working closely with the Managing Director, his PA and the senior management team to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Due to the nature of this role, high levels of discretion and confidentiality must be upheld at all times.
**Responsibilities**
The main duties of this role are to:
- Manage the company's resource and talent planning requirements
- Support the senior managers with the execution of Recruitment and People strategies
- Build and effectively manage recruitment agency relationships, alongside using social media as a source of direct recruitment
- Keep up to date with employment laws and legislative changes to effectively maintain internal policies and procedures
- Generate contracts of employment and various documents for job offer packs
- Carry out new staff inductions and oversee ongoing employee welfare
- Deal with the administration and record keeping for staff development reviews
- Maintain accurate holiday and sickness records and keep the HR database and Recruitment Trackers up to date
- Assist the senior management in disciplinary and grievance matters
- Deal with company travel, building and vehicle maintenance and general procurement. Oversee the upkeep and cleanliness of the building.
- Assist the Events Team in organising company events
- Other administrative duties, as and when required, will include providing support to the Managing Director in the absence of his PA.
**WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?**
- Have at least 5 years’ experience working in a high-level HR and Recruitment administration role (ESSENTIAL)
- Have experience within a small-to-medium-sized private sector organisation (ESSENTIAL)
- Be confident, personable and able to easily build rapport with people at all levels
- Have a good understanding of Employment Law and the ability to translate this into workplace best practice
- Deal with people management issues, having a good balance of empathy and impartiality
- Have experience of attracting new hires using a variety of sources, including agencies, recruitment platforms, social media networks and employee referrals
- Have fantastic written and verbal communication skills
- Be proficient in the Microsoft suite, with very strong knowledge and competence using Excel essentials.
- Have experience of managing their own time and workload effectively and meeting targets and deadlines
- Have a high level of flexibility and a positive attitude towards innovation and change
- Have strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy to be able to work with sensitive data
- Be able to stay calm under pressure
- Operate with absolute confidentiality and discretion at all times
