**MusicSpace **provides a way for people to express themselves and share a connection** through the power of music.**

**About us**

We support children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities and_ _mental health challenges, some of whom have life-limiting conditions through music therapy._ _Our small, hands-on but high-impact charity_ _can have a transformative effect on their wellbeing.

We opened in 1991 with 1 therapist operating from a small van; we now have a team of 20 and work with over 300 people every week. We have a centre in Bristol with 3 beautiful music rooms and also provide an outreach service to early years’ settings, schools and residential homes and to Bristol’s Children’s Hospital. As a charity, we are committed to provide our service to people who need it.

**About the role**
- Reporting to the Director, the Fundraising Officer will play a pivotal role in delivering the charity’s diverse programme of fundraising activities
- The Fundraising Officer will identify and maximise opportunities to raise unrestricted and restricted funds from grant making-making bodies and charitable trusts
- They will build the profile of MusicSpace through providing exciting new content across digital platforms
- They will liaise with volunteers to promote and deliver an appealing and innovative programme of events
- They will generate income from fundraising in line with targets set by annual budget

**About you**

In addition you will have:

- an appetite to engage and inspire people to donate to a cause we feel passionate about
- excellent communication and presentation skills, being able to tell the story of MusicSpace in an engaging and inspiring way
- an ability to ‘think outside the box’ to deliver new income and donor development opportunities
- a client-focused approach and excellent attention to detail
- confident digital skills across a wide range of social media platforms

**The post**

**Sa**l**ary,** **working** **hours** **and** **annual** **leave**

The salary is £26,500 - £30,000 per annum pro rata depending on experience.

The successful applicant may choose their working hours, as long as they are between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday.

MusicSpace full time employees are entitled to 33 days annual leave pro rata, and offers a pension scheme to employees.
