Learning Support Assistant

**Salary Details**: Dependent on experience Hours: 35 hours/week

**Description**:
We have several exciting opportunities, we are looking to recruit Learning Support Assistants to support the school's goal of providing high quality learning for students with complex and additional educational needs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and teaching, who wants to work with children and young people to develop their knowledge and skills to become successful lifelong learners.

The school is a small independent, co-educational school with the aim of being the first-choice provider for young people aged 5-16 years with special educational needs in Devon.

Our classes are very small which will enable you to make good relationships with the children and to get to know their individual needs, learning styles and preferences well so that you can contribute to the development of individual education plans and learning journeys.

We are dedicated to developing a diverse, rich, relevant and engaging curriculum, delivered through a range of learning experiences built around the individual needs and interests of our children and young people. - Able to reflect on experiences and give and receive feedback to improve.
- Able to work on their own initiative prioritising the safety and wellbeing of all.
- Interested in developing and delivering bespoke, high quality educational provision for young people.
- A lifelong learner who can lead by example.

**The position**:
**Days**: Monday - Friday

**Hours**: 35

**Salary**: Negotiable Depending on Experience

The role will include attending to the safety and wellbeing of pupils including those with special educational needs, delivering bespoke learning/care/support programmes and implementing literacy/numeracy programmes, and undertaking general administrative and teaching support for the teacher.
