**Job Summary**

The Process Improvement Specialist has a passion for achieving high performance and operational excellence through continuous improvement. They support operational optimisation and assist with the identification and execution of improvement activity that enables Revvity (Horizon Services) to achieve its strategy and business goals. In their role as process improvement technical expert, they challenge status quo and act as a passionate advocate for lean thinking and a resource to support the development of effective problem-solving skills.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Continuous Improvement
- Partners with managers and their team members to identify and execute continuous improvement projects that eliminate waste and address areas constraining throughput or impacting quality or service.
- Leads key process improvement projects, drawing together resources to address the priority areas for improvement.
- Responsible for capturing value stream and process maps, to establish standard work, help identify waste and prioritise opportunities for improvement and facilitate future state discussion on new ways of working.
- Champion of Lean thinking and the elimination of waste.
- People
- Introduce, train and coach team members on problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques and the use of relevant process improvement methodologies and lean tools.
- Facilitate/lead group sessions, e.g., project initiation/definition, brainstorming, value stream or process mapping, problem solving, root cause analysis.
- Effectively communicate to stakeholders and beneficiaries to keep them updated on progress of operational improvement activity.
- Spread best practice and promote a culture of learning and inclusivity.

**Essential Competencies & Requirements**
- Qualified - bachelor’s degree (ideally in Industrial or Process Engineering) or equivalent work experience required.
- Continuous Improvement - a passionate practitioner of process improvement methodologies and Lean tools with a track record of executing improvements that bring measurable business benefits.
- Leadership - growth mindset individual who is passionate about improving customer experience and empowering and influencing people to deliver effective and efficient processes and service.
- Relationship management - relationship building skills to open doors, create possibility, influence change, and bring cross functional groups together for collaborative improvement.
- Operational Acumen - operational experience across a variety of business sectors or functions.
- Change Management - skilled in change techniques and a track record of successful improvement, ideally in a service operations environment.
- Facilitation skills - moderation has an open-minded approach, questioning, active listening and able to facilitate and moderate group sessions e.g., brainstorming.
- Communication Skills - Strong presentation and influencing skills, comfortable communicating with audiences of varying seniority.
- Delivers Results - Takes total accountability for achieving exceptional business results and acting with a sense of urgency. Tenacity and perseverance to ensure Kaizen projects are executed in a timely manner.
- Data Analysis - Experience with using standard software and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) and conducting acute analysis or statistical analysis.
- Team player - altruistic, thinks and does what is needed in service of the customer, the organisation, and its overarching purpose.

**Desirable Competencies & Requirements**
- Life science/healthcare experience.
- Advanced degree.
- Project Management - experienced practitioner, who manages self and resources to deliver initiatives to schedule and within budget.
- Process Improvement qualification e.g., minimum Green Belt
- Data science/analytic skills
