**More About the Role**:
As a Hygiene Operative you will be expected to provide a high quality cleaning service across all areas of Low Risk. Your shift will run side by side with the production shift, meaning your shift will start whilst production is ongoing. You will be required to perform various scheduled cleaning duties as part of a team. The daily duties are limited to low risk but it may involve supporting the tray wash department when required. Your duties may change to meet the needs of the department.

**Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing**
- To perform cleaning duties according to the schedules.
- To ensure any health and safety hazards encountered are dealt with appropriately by reporting to the health and safety officer.
- Ensure hygiene standards are maintained and cleaning is carried out as per cleaning specifications
- Safely operating heavy machinery including the floor cleaner.
- Assisting with the end of shift cleaning of all equipment (bread plant, mixers) and utensils (knives, whisks)
- Completing the department clean down if the morning shift finishes late.
- Disposing of rubbish and recycling during the shift and after the shift.
- Safely emptying and cleaning of catch trays during production in accordance with the flour safety rules.
- Wearing the correct PPE at all times for the individuals safety.
- To ensure that safe working practices are adhered to at all times
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Undertake all reasonable duties and actions to assist in business operations
- Always ensure chemicals are used in the correct manner and safety stored
- Setting room up ready for the night shift in order to limit any time lost on set up.
- Assist in tray wash when required (washing of trays and jet washing of equipment).
