**We are looking to grow our Capital Design Division with a Technical Lead in Water Treatment Process Engineering to work within our Water Treatment and Design Excellence Teams.**

**EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW**
Reporting to Design Excellence, the Technical Lead will be responsible for the development of our Process Engineering capability within Design, developing engineering solutions through an extensive range of Water Treatment projects.
- You will drive innovation and develop new approaches and solutions. You will explore the opportunities to deploy tactical short-term Research & Development and adopt new techniques and technologies for the immediate benefit of delivering the capital programme. You will develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will manage the process resource in Water Treatment, allocating individuals to different tasks and projects as part of a discipline matrix structure.
- You will be responsible for maintaining and improving Water Processes Design Standards and ensuring that the process work in Water Treatment is checked and signed off by a competent person.
- You will communicate improvements to the Design team and hold leaders to account for adoption of standards (encouraging challenge and feedback for the purpose of innovation). You will ensure learnings from post investment reviews are evaluated driving updates to standards, frameworks or innovation.
- In addition to the above, you will be required to develop and mentor individual apprentices, graduates and process engineers throughout the design function to grow the individual’s skills, capabilities and qualifications.
**WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE**
Ideally Chartered Engineer (or equivalent experience) with IChemE or CIWEM, you will have a degree in a Process related discipline and you will have significant experience of Drinking Water Treatment Process Engineering.
You will have an in-depth knowledge of the Principal Designer duties in accordance with CDM regulations. You will have experienced of developing and coaching a team of technical expert.
You will have excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of people. You will be expected to have a wide network within the industry and strong relationships throughout the supply chain. You will be a forward-thinking innovator, capable of anticipating challenges and responding to change in a rapidly evolving environment. You will be able to make educated judgments and decisions in the face of ambiguity, and have a good grasp of the bigger picture, seeking opportunities to contribute to the wider agenda.
