Windsor, United Kingdom Centrica Full time

We’ve been in Britain’s homes for over 200 years. But at British Gas, we’ve never been more excited about the future.

Right now, we’re at a pivotal moment. As well as leading our customers through a once-in-a-generation cost of living crisis, we’ve got big plans to get our homes closer to Net Zero.

That’s why we need a brilliant **ECO Assurance Lead **to join our Energy Efficiency team and help us get to where we’re going. You’ll bring bags of energy, know-how and passion to our family of door-opening brands, including British Gas and Hive. And you’ll join a team who are just as focused on delivering fantastic results as you are.

Our Energy Efficiency team is responsible for definition and execution of the government Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and the Great British Insulation Scheme which has a combined financial weight of £1.2bn. We ensure cost effective delivery to support the commercial performance of the British Gas Energy business, whilst building and maintaining fulfilment partnerships outside ECO, supporting the growth agenda of British Gas Zero. We’re looking for people with a passionate belief in the importance of the Net Zero.

The role would suit a commercially minded and well organised individual who wants to develop operational experience. The role will focus initially on British Gas’s Energy Company Obligation, assuring the quality and compliance of installations undertaken for customers, so that we deliver the right outcomes and do so cost-effectively.

**Key Accountabilities**:
Lead a high performing team to deliver the following:

- Ensure we deliver through third parties all of the quality standards prescribed by BEIS, Ofgem and TrustMark to complete our ECO4 and the Great British Insulation Scheme obligations and any subsequent obligations in a commercially optimised fashion
- Develop and operate an effective assurance process, using risk-based judgements to manage volumes and achieve excellent outcomes with appropriate cost/ benefit trade offs
- Ensure non-compliant measures are attempted to be saved or re-scored, then amended or withdrawn from submission to Ofgem
- Manage exceptions and escalations, putting in place remediation plans where required
- Maintain and deliver MI reporting, including insight to support improved partner performance
- Provide front line support to all delivery partners in the form of one-to-one account management, bespoke data, and regular calls and meetings
- Manage external stakeholders including Ofgem & Trustmark in order to ensure delivery and BG compliance

**Who are we looking for?**
- Track record of operational management of people and processes
- Understanding of compliance and assurance methodologies
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (SQL an advantage)

Preferred but not essential:

- Knowledge of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and associated quality standards
- Technical knowledge of energy saving measures and the relevant guidance (Building Regs, PAS2035, PAS2030, SAP/RdSAP, DESNZ policy & Ofgem guidance)

**In this role we are happy for you to be based from home but you must be flexible to travel to our Windsor office at least once per month for team meetings.**

**We are proud to be recognised as a disability-confident employer.** Our customers come from a variety of different backgrounds, and so do we. We hire great people from all walks of life, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it makes our company stronger. We will continue championing inclusivity while investing in our local communities to create a better, more sustainable world for everyone. **We are incredibly proud to have been recognised by The Times for being one of the Top 50 Employers for Women.**

**Our people are the beating heart of our business. **We are incredibly proud of our commitment to being FlexFirst. From childcare to furry friends, we listened to our people and understood that they work best when they are comfortable and have a flexible working model that suits their individual needs. We embrace the opportunity to give our colleagues a choice to work from anywhere whilst still ensuring they can connect and engage with their teams through office days, employee networks and virtual events.

We have tailored our well-being & benefits package around our employees as follows;
- Competitive salary and bonus potential
- Employee Energy Allowance
- Pension scheme
- Healthcare Plan
- 25 days holiday allowance, plus public holidays, and the option to buy up to 5 additional days
- Excellent range of flexible benefits, including technology vouchers, electric car lease scheme & travel insurance

**We are committed to creating a cleaner and greener future. **And we’re making big changes to help us get there. That means cutting customers' emissions and our own to reach net zero. And because our people are the beating heart of our business, we will continue to champion inclusivity, develop future skills and invest in our loc
