**Position**: Quality Compliance Partner Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: As per Salary Banding Responsible for: Operations Manager, Clinical Team Manager, Team Leaders, Qualified Nurses, TNA, Support Workers and those who visit the Service. Summary of Purpose An experienced governance and audit facilitator with requisite skill and expertise to coordinate governance and Audit systems in a complex, highly regulated health environment. An individual with proven ability to work well with and motivate staff at differing levels of experience, including fellow Managers, in hospital and residential environments. An individual with relevant commercial knowledge to appreciate the current link between effective governance, clinical audit, quality, safety and commercial success.

Main Duties/Responsibilities Promoting Governance and Audit Take an active role in the delivery of the Clinical Audit Programme and governance strategy. Assist to develop and manage and deliver the Clinical Audit and Governance Programme at Hospital level. Liaise directly and on own initiative with healthcare professionals in order to support the Cheswold Park Hospital governance and audit To actively promote a Quality culture in all aspects of work incorporating promoting a culture of teamwork. Supporting High-Quality Governance and Audit Promote the use of evidence-based practice within the remit of governance and in particular audit design, referring to national guidelines: NICE guidance, NSFs, professional body clinical guidelines, etc.

Assist in creating and maintaining effective governance arrangements for the Hospital including clinical audit, risk management, compliance management, in line with the organisations strategies, programmes, policies and procedures and regulatory requirements such as the CQC Essential Standards of Quality and Safety. Undertake / Support clinical staff in ensuring that governance and audits meet criteria set out by the organisation with audit cycles completed by re-auditing to assess whether improvements in clinical care have been sustained. Undertake / Facilitate the practice of governance and clinical audit within the organisation by assisting health professionals in planning governance requirements and audits focussed on local or organisation-wide priorities, helping staff to establish clear aims, objectives and auditable criteria for the selected topics, involving service users and carers as appropriate and linking directly with Unit Led Governance committees. Be aware of information networks and carry out literature searches relevant to specific projects, aiming to advise health professionals on how to obtain evidence for standards of best practice wherever possible.

Use patient information systems to identify appropriate samples for audit, obtaining case-notes as required. Facilitate the design of data collection methods, ensuring adherence to standards of data protection and information governance. Set up databases and spreadsheets, enter data and analyse results using appropriate statistical methods. Write concise and constructive draft and final reports to a high standard, using graphical and/or tabular display of findings, as appropriate.

As required, prepare PowerPoint presentations to disseminate findings. As appropriate, attend meetings to discuss and agree governance and audit findings with relevant staff, e.g. health professionals and managers. Identify any problems that have arisen with the governance initiatives and audit project design and advise on improvements.

Undertake and Advise relevant staff on the provision of an action plan arising from governance reviews and audits, and ensure that action plan reviews and re-audit is planned to monitor implementation, as appropriate. Undertake Hospital wide reviews and audits. In conjunction with the Governance Team, maintain a Hospital wide database on clinical governance and audit activity, undertake mini Root Cause Analysis reviews, providing reports when requested. Manage own workload to maintain Hopsital governance and audit functions and to meet required deadlines.

Where difficulties arise, discuss them with the line management in order to determine a suitable course of action. To provide information to support quality and governance requirements across all facilities and departments are achieved incorporating supporting the maintenance of the Quality standard programme as deemed appropriate for the company. Education and Training of Health Professionals Promote an understanding of the objectives of governance and clinical audit and encourage a co-operative and interested commitment to the Organisation governance and audit schedule. Provide expert advice and support to all healthcare professionals, and be available to address ad-hoc queries from all levels of staff.
