**TITLE**: **Purchasing Administrator**

**REPORTING TO**: Commercial Accountant

**SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY**: Direct and Indirect Purchasing, Stock Management

**GENERAL SUMMARY**:
The Purchasing Administrator will be based at the Swindon office.

Attention to detail with the ability to communicate effectively with Suppliers and Management is a pre-requisite.

**DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Interpretation and management of stock reordering model.

2. Processing of purchase orders and ensuring received by suppliers.

3. Progressing purchase orders and updating the business with anticipated deliveries.

4. Ability to source and identify alternative or new products with support from sales team.

5. Maintenance of stock data, including stock holding levels and lead times ensuring stock availability and minimising stock outs.

6. Maintenance of stock data, including supplier basic data, cost data, stock analysis data, units of measure and conversion data.

7. Managing the logistics of imported products and ensuring they are booked into stock with the correct import duty and freight (landed cost).

8. Liaise with Finance office and ensure all goods received paperwork is forwarded and an adequate audit trail maintained for imported products and the apportionment of duty and freight costs.

9. Assisting the Commercial Accountant with changes to supplier pricing to ensure sales pricing database can be updated accurately and promptly.

**RENUMERATION**

1. Salary £23,000 - £25,000 per annum dependent on experience.

2. Holiday 23 days.

3. 4 x Salary life assurance.

6. 40 Hours per week Monday to Friday

**QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE**

1. Educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent preferred.

2. At least 2 years experience of purchasing/purchase order processing

3. Experience of a multi-stock and distribution environment would be an advantage.

4. IT Literate - Microsoft Excel (proficient) and Word

5. Experience of using fully integrated logistics software incorporating sales order processing, purchase order processing and stock control (Sage 200)
6. A Team Player

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
