Lockton are currently recruiting an experienced M&A specialist or Corporate lawyer to join our Transactional Risks team in London.

As a member of the Transactional risks team you will be responsible for providing advice and working on complex M&A transactions. As the team continues to grow this hire will be there to assist key clients and support the well-established Transactional Risks team on the procurement and placement of Warranty & Indemnity (“W&I”) Insurance. Our many years of experience working with specialists in a number of different industries have enabled us to develop a robust and proven ability for service delivery, advice and tailored coverage to address the varied insurance needs of our clients and their interests, including innovative areas of cover.

**Role responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in business development, helping to foster relationships with existing clients (including law firms, private equity and corporate finance houses in particular) as well as reaching out to new potential clients
- Where required assist in business development, to include: feeding into promotional materials, attending presentations, conferences, marketing and PR campaigns; researching and writing content for articles and publications as required Management of the W&I workstream; to include:
- Lead initial conversations with clients and/or their advisers
- Assisting junior team members in preparing submissions and report on terms documents to ensure the policy terms offered align with the clients requirements.
- Analyse transaction documents and provide advice to the client and its advisers on the likely insurable position
- Review DD reports in order to understand areas where coverage may be impacted to help plan for and around this
- Lead negotiations with markets on the coverage position Manage process through to successfully putting policies on risk- Assist team in developing consistent, market leading wordings.
- Assist junior team members in understanding complex policy matters

- Experience of working in a fast paced client facing environment
- Some experience of transaction liability products preferred but not essential
