**Payroll Officer**

Excellent opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our finance team on a part-time, permanent basis. Managing the Payroll function end to end to ensure accurate and timely processing. The role will be 2.5/3 days per week, days and hours are mostly flexible however some of the time is required to be worked at the beginning of the week to suit processing schedules.

**The Role**:

- Managing weekly and monthly payroll for around 260 employees across all Nugent Group Companies, covering multi jurisdiction (NI and ROI)
- Processing starters and leavers through payroll system
- Calculating Sickness, Parental and Annual leave payments
- Administering company pension and benefits schemes
- Preparing payroll reports and ensuring accurate record keeping of payroll transactions
- Staying up to date on payroll regulations and ensure compliance with any changes to legislation
- Complying with data protection regulations regarding storing data/data retention
- Offering advice and guidance on payroll related queries

**The Person**:

- Previous experience in payroll setting necessary
- Experience using Sage 50 is desirable
- Excellent IT skills, specifically MS Excel
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week
