£13 - £16 per hour, dependent upon experience

ASAP start - December initially (long term sickness cover)

Tradewind Education are delighted to be working in partnership with a fantastic Special Needs primary school in West Cumbria to recruit a School Administrator for a temporary role as soon as possible. The position is to cover for long term sickness of a permanent member of staff, and the role will likely be required until at least December 2024.

The school, based in the Whitehaven area, has a supportive and friendly office team, and they take great pride in their friendly and dynamic office team who are committed to creating a positive and welcoming environment for all visitors.

Due to the range of additional needs of the pupils who attend the school, the senior leadership team are looking to recruit someone who has an education background, and has worked in a school setting previously.

In this role you shall be supporting and reporting into the Senior Administrator and the School Business Manager.

Duties will include:

Answering the telephone
Inputting pupil attendance using SIMS
Greeting and signing in visitors
Liaise with parents
Other clerical responsibilities

Requirements:

Experience with using school data input software such as SIMS would be beneficial
An education background and previous experience working within a school setting is highly preferable
Previous experience working in a school office environment is desirable, but not essential
A positive, pro-active and team-oriented approach
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure
Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
