Band 6 Trainee Echo Sonographer 37.5 hours Fixed term

The Cardiology Department in North Cumbria Integrated Care Trust has an exciting opportunity for an 18-month fixed term full-time training post in Echocardiography. This is part of the Echocardiography Training Programme developed by the National School of Healthcare Science and funded by Health Education England.

Train to develop a wide knowledge and expertise in the performing Echocardiography, employing the highest standards in testing, interpretation, reporting and treatments in order to achieve the very best quality of patient care.

You will be based at the West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven but will rotate in to the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle.

The department performs a full range echo investigations as well as other invasive and non-invasive procedures within cardiology. The West Cumberland Hospital is located in Whitehaven which lies close to the Lake District and the Cumbrian coast. The Trust now has 10 Cardiologists working at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle and The West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven.

**Standard Check**: £18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.

**Enhanced Check**: £38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
