Roles and responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher and prepare resources for learning activities and assist students in their use.
* Uphold policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, child protection and behaviour management/pupil conduct.
* Develop solid relationships with students, teacher, and parents to provide feedback on the development and accomplishment of the students.
* Motivate students to participate in activities and engage with the class as well as promoting their competence and independence.
* Establish a calm, encouraging and positive learning environment in the classroom.
Requirements:
* Experience in an educational setting or working with children is highly desirable.
* Must hold an enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
* Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with students, parents, professionals/colleagues.
* Basic understanding of the national curriculum.
* Possess a high degree of teamwork proficiency and the ability to collaborate with others as well as work independently.
* High standard of numeracy/literacy skills.
* Have a genuine desire in helping children achieve academic success.
