About the role:

As a SEN-TA – Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist, you will work closely with students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who have ASD, providing individualized support to meet their unique needs. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement effective strategies that promote academic, social, and emotional development.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is essential.
• Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the needs of individuals with ASD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD, both in the classroom and in specialised settings.
• Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Use a variety of instructional techniques and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
