Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a specialist in water treatment and technology services across the UK to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to cover the South. Working as the Business Development Manager, you will be supporting in the development of their Industrial Water Services business, operating across the UK, selling water treatment solutions and pure water systems into the Industrial sector.

Responsibilities and duties

As a Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving business growth and achieving revenue targets by selling water solutions into the Industrial market. Your role involves strategic planning, customer relationship management, and collaboration with internal teams to promote and expand the company's market presence.
Reporting to the Head of Sales you will:

Conducting sufficient sales activities to cover your territory and develop future prospects to meet financial targets.
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the Industrial market, leveraging market insights and competitor analysis.
Maintaining regular contact with existing customers through scheduled meetings to review relationships and secure ongoing business.
Building and sustaining strong internal and external customer relationships to foster long-term business partnerships.
Driving and delivering business growth by aligning with the company's strategic business development plan.
Planning and executing daily sales activities, including marketing initiatives and updating the company's CRM system.
Working closely with the marketing team on various marketing and promotional activities to support sales efforts.
Attending trade shows and industry conferences to network, promote the business, and stay informed about industry trends.
Maintaining good knowledge of competitor strategy and activity to identify new areas of business growth.
Demonstrating a strong capacity to adapt to market philosophies and business drivers.
Any other duties as required

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

Candidates must have a background working within the water treatment industry, ideally with a proven track record selling technical solutions to industrial customers.
A full UK driving licence is essential.

Personal skills

The Business Development Manager role would suit someone who:

Possess creative, innovative and passionate mindset in their approach to driving sales, a 'hunter' not a 'farmer attitude is paramount.
Has excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Salary and benefits of the Business Development Manager role

Basic Salary up to £60,000
Company vehicle or car allowance
Commission Scheme - Uncapped up to 20%
Private Medical Insurance
25 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays
