Location: Office based in Pontefract with regular travel (Yorkshire & North East)
Grade: 3
Salary: £39,599 per annum
Job type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours)
About the Role:

Lead and manage a team of social work assistants, ensuring the effective delivery of services to clients.
Manage a caseload, conducting assessments and providing interventions such as welfare benefits advice, advocacy, and emotional support.
Drive service performance, monitoring efficiency, and implementing improvements.
Provide expert supervision and support to your team members, fostering a learning and development culture.
Act as the safeguarding lead for the region, ensuring adherence to safeguarding policies.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with other professionals and partner agencies.
Promote the service locally and contribute to the development of new service approaches.
Represent the organisation at events and contribute to publicising our services.
What you will bring:

A social work degree and current professional registration.
Proven experience leading and managing a team in a social care setting.
Experience of community-based social care with older people and/or disability services.
Strong understanding of the welfare benefits system and relevant legislation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centered approach.
Self-motivated with exceptional organisational and time management skills.
Valid driving license and access to a vehicle (travel required).
