Our client, a leading recycling company, is seeking a Transport Administrator to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a sustainable future while ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's transport function.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport Coordination: schedule and organise daily collections and deliveries, ensuring this is done with efficiency and timeliness in mind
Communication: liaise with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure clear communication regarding transport arrangements
Documentation: prepare and maintain accurate transport documents including delivery notes, permits and reports
Compliance: ensure all transport activities comply with relevant legislation, health & safety guidelines and environmental regulations
Tracking: monitor and track vehicle movements using internal systems to optimize route planning and fuel efficiency.
Problem solving: handle any transport related queries, issues or delays, working proactively to resolve them
Record Keeping: maintain up to date record of vehicle maintenance, drivers hours, RT(WT)R, and any compliance checksKey Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in transport administration or a similar role
Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively
Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications
Working knowledge of Tachomaster or similar system
Working knowledge of drivers hours rules and regulations (RT(WT)R, EC561, ETD, etc)The successful Transport Administrator can expect:
Monday to Friday shift pattern
08:00 - 17:00 each day
Salary of c£30K per year
