About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with expertise in managing challenging behaviours, specifically those prone to running. This position is pivotal in our school community, supporting students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 to achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment. You will be working closely with small groups of students, ensuring personalised support in a classroom setting with a supportive teacher-to-student ratio.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

• Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support children’s learning and emotional development.

• A patient and empathetic approach, with a genuine passion for working in education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN, including those prone to running.

• Implementing individualised learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.

• Supporting students’ emotional well-being and promoting positive behaviour management strategies.

• Collaborating effectively with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
