We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Logistics Administrator to join our team at a leading chemical manufacturing facility located in Leek, operating within a COMAH site. As a vital member of our logistics department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of distribution, import, and export operations.

Responsibilities:

* Efficiently coordinate and manage the transportation of goods via road, sea, and air freight to meet delivery deadlines.

* Oversee the preparation and processing of import and export documentation, including export licenses, permits, and customs clearance.

* Collaborate closely with customs authorities and freight forwarding partners to ensure compliance with regulations and streamline customs procedures.

* Stay updated on shipping laws and legal requirements to ensure adherence and mitigate risks effectively.

* Utilize your expertise in planning to optimize logistics processes and minimize costs while maintaining quality standards.

* Provide administrative support to the logistics team as required to ensure efficient operations.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

* Previous experience in logistics administration within a manufacturing environment is essential.

* Proficient in managing road, sea, and air freight logistics.

* Hands-on experience with export licenses, permits, and customs documentation.

* Familiarity with customs procedures and regulations, as well as working knowledge of freight forwarding operations.

* Strong understanding of shipping law and legal requirements applicable to the industry.

* Excellent organizational and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail.

* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external partners.
