Transport & Warehouse Distribution Assistant
Our client a leading distribution company is now looking to recruit an administration consultant.
For this position you will be providing administrative assistance to the Transport and Warehouse Departments and directly reporting to the Transport Manager.
Duties;
* To provide administrative support and to actively support the branch operation teams to ensure that customer expectations are exceeded and company goals are obtained
* To answer all incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally.
* To assist in the handling of sensitive customer issues, requests and complaints and act promptly to resolve and address these issues.
* To review and monitor daily activities and operations to ensure highly efficient service levels that meet and exceed customer expectations and Company goals.
* To liaise with customers to communicate delivery/ uplift appointments/ requirements where necessary.
* To effectively communicate delivery instructions and customer requirements to the driving team.
* To assist with the driver de-brief task, ensuring drivers return all delivery documentation and daily operating reports/forms.
* To ensure that the drivers are made aware of the following days duties, including start times, vehicle and route.
It would be advantageous if you have previous administration experience preferably within logistics.
