As Senior Electrical Engineer you will report directly to the Project Director and Engineering Manager and be the first point of contact for all electrical operations, for client, senior management and subcontractors.
This contractor operates across a variety of sectors, data centre, life sciences, renewable energy, oil & gas and utilities and have grown significantly in the last five years. After the successful acquisition of a large project with one of the industry’s leading blue chip clients, they now require a Senior Electrical candidate that has a proven track record in the mission critical sector, with a principal contractor.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is career focused, ambitious to lead a £200m+ project and sees themselves climbing the ladder. This coupled with the chance to work on one of London’s flagship data centre schemes, with a highly regarded contractor makes it an excellent opportunity.
Senior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
* Engage with designers and specialist sub-contractors for design assistance, determine and coordinate system integration requirements between specialist vendors.
* Host meetings and workshops with clients, designers, and specialist vendors.
* Developing weekly technical engineering progress reports.
* Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of UK Electrical Regulations
* Chair daily, weekly and monthly, internal and client meetings
* Management of program
* Involvement in QA/QC elements
* Involvement in all commissioning stages alongside Cx Manager
Requirements for the role:
* 5+ years in a mission critical environment
* Extensive switchgear, HV/LV, instrumentation, containment etc knowledge
* Adept at working in fast paced, high pressure environments
* Very strong communicator and well organised
* Strong IT skills
* Proficient in BIM360
* Degree or masters in field of Building Services
