Nuvonic has an exciting opening available for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our multi-disciplined engineering team in Slough, Berkshire.

Purpose of the role

Drive the electrical design of our customer-focused products, actively engaging and coordinating stakeholders, and harnessing expertise to deliver individually tailored solutions that consistently exceed our customer expectations.

Key responsibilities include

  • Develop electrical solutions for UV-Reactors, panels, components, and issues in production quickly and safely.
  • Create and maintain E-Plan CAD drawings for components and assemblies.
  • Ensure compliance of our products with CE, UKCA, UL and other relevant regulations.
  • Share innovative & creative ideas and new concepts to solve design challenges.
  • Continuously challenge the way we work and pro-actively seek opportunities for us to improve the way we do things.
  • Ensure that the technical standards are maintained by applying industry best practice throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage and update ERP data to ensure accurate and up to date product information.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues to determine root cause and establish a solution.
  • Support the operations team to ensure delivery of product on time and to spec.
  • Vetting customer’s specifications and providing feedback to the commercial team.

Candidate requirements

  • Must have a relevant qualification, preferably a good degree, or suitable experience, with excellent demonstrable technical knowledge.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement.
  • Product-minded and focused on building high-quality products.
  • Understands technical drawings and Design for Manufacture.
  • Have an analytical, inquisitive hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Be a self-starter with a can-do attitude with the ability to adapt to change.
  • Must be pro-active and results driven.

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary design, development, and production environment.
  • Proficient with E-Plan.
  • UL Standards such as UL508A.
  • Experience with test automation (either during design or for production)
  • Good understanding of water/process engineering and /or expert in controls for UV systems.
  • Experience with Inventor and CAD automation.
