Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head of Payroll - assisting in managing the a range of client payrolls - taking ownership and ensuring smooth and efficient operations
Provide expert advice and guidance - helping clients navigate complex payroll and compliance issues
Be able to lead, train and support payroll trainees and other support staff, fostering a collaborative and high performing team environment
Manage day to date payroll activities, including processing payrolls, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and enhancement of payroll processes and systemsIdeal Candidate:
Proven previous experience in a payroll role, preferably within a chartered accountant's firm or a similar professional services environment
Comprehensive understanding of payroll legislation, tax regulations and compliance requirements
Proficient in payroll software
Demonstrate a passion for developing other team members
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
