About the role:

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team as soon as possible. This full-time, long-term position has become available due to the expansion of our team to support our growing number of pupils.

As an HLTA, you will work closely with class teachers to provide tailored support to our diverse learners, including those with SEN needs. You will have the opportunity to lead small group interventions, support the implementation of educational programs, and contribute to the development of a stimulating learning environment. Building strong relationships with parents and working collaboratively with teachers will be key to your success in this role.

Application Requirements:

• Experience & Skills: At least two years of experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. A solid understanding of SEN is essential.

• Qualifications: HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.

• Personal Attributes: A positive, proactive attitude with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.

• Our recruitment process involves two stages: an initial interview with the Head Teacher, followed by a classroom observation. We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible, so early applications are encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate small group interventions to support students’ learning and development in core subjects such as Reading and Maths.

• Work collaboratively with teachers to manage classroom behavior, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment for all students.

• Provide tailored support for students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them to overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

• Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on student progress and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
