About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2024, offering a daily rate of £100 – £120. This role has become available due to the expansion of our team to support our growing student population.

As an HLTA, you will work closely with our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, supporting the class teacher and leading small group sessions. You will be responsible for covering classes during teacher absences, ensuring continuity in students’ learning.

This role stands out for its variety and the opportunity to make a significant impact on our student’s educational journey. You will be working with a class size of around 25-30 students, ensuring each child receives the attention and support they need to succeed.

Application Requirements:

• A relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience working with primary school children, particularly in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.

• Lead small group sessions and provide targeted support to students.

• Cover classes during teacher absences and ensure a smooth continuation of learning.

• Support the social and emotional development of students.

• Work with SEN students and implement individual education plans (IEPs).

• Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Participate in school events and extracurricular activities.
