The Opportunity:

Are you an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative? Our client is seeking dedicated mobile Grounds Maintenance Operative to maintain a number of high-end domestic sites. As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you'll play a key role crucial role in ensuring that our clients landscaping projects and contracts are maintained to the highest of standards.

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative your responsibilities will include the following:

We are seeking a passionate and reliable Mobile Grounds Maintenance Operative with a track record in Grounds Maintenance and Horticulture to join our client’s team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in overseeing landscaping projects that involve the maintenance of grass, shrubs, plants and other features as well as managing irrigation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Focus on the upkeep and aesthetic enhancement of gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas to ensure they meet high-end standards.

* Responsible for traveling between multiple high-end domestic sites, ensuring consistent quality of service across different locations.

* Act as the point of contact for clients, ensuring their expectations and preferences are understood and met.

* Work independently or as part of a team, potentially supervising junior staff or collaborating with other tradespeople.

* Mowing, edging, aerating, scarifying, and treating lawns to maintain a lush, healthy appearance.

* Pruning, deadheading, feeding, and watering plants and shrubs, ensuring they are healthy and well-presented.

* Identifying and removing weeds, applying treatments, and managing pests in an environmentally friendly manner.

* Regularly clearing leaves, litter, and other debris from pathways, lawns, and garden beds.

* Implementing planting schemes, choosing appropriate plants, and installing seasonal displays.

* Installing, maintaining, and programming irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules.

* Testing soil quality and applying fertilizers or conditioners as needed to promote plant health.

* Installing and maintaining seasonal decorations, including festive lights and displays.

* Cleaning and maintaining patios, walkways, and other hardscaped areas.

* Maintenance of features like fountains, pergolas, and statues, ensuring they remain in good condition.

* Regularly cleaning, sharpening, and maintaining tools and equipment to ensure efficient operation.

We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative who has the following skills and qualifications:

* Full UK Driver’s License is essential

* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Grounds Maintenance Operative

* Experience working in High end sites

* Strong communication and writing skills

* NVQ in Horticulture is preferred

* Very strong plant knowledge

* PA1&PA6 Spraying Licenses is preferred

* Knowledge of irrigation systems is preferred
