This forward thinking, market leading business with over 65 years’ experience is looking to recruit an experience Bookkeeper to steer the Accounts team as a Senior. With a proven track record and a desire to join a busy, driven department, you will play an integral part of the team in ensuring the company goes from strength to strength.
Responsibilities
* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
* Processing supplier invoices
* Ordering materials/ parts online and through credit suppliers
* Raising purchase orders through our CRM System
* Setting up weekly supplier payments
* Booking hotels for engineers/contractors
* Reconcile bank statements and card transactions
* Processing subcontractor invoices and submitting monthly CIS Returns
* Maintain general ledger and perform month-end close activities
* Generate financial reports
* Set up and maintain digital filing system
* Maintain and file paper records
* Assist with tax preparation and filing
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
* Ad hoc projects and tasks as required, i.e. vehicle fleet (arranging MOTS etc)
* Submit quarterly VAT returns to HMRC
* Liaise and build a strong relationship with external accountants
Experience
* A minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience within the UK
* Proficient in QuickBooks
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
* AAT qualified or Accountancy qualification is desirable
