Senior Bookkeeper

Following significant growth, we are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our expanding team within our accountancy practice.

Knowledge of payroll in order to assist our payroll bureau team would be desirable.

**Responsibilities/requirements will include but not limited to**:

- Bookkeeping on behalf of multiple clients to include sole traders, partnerships, LLP's and Limited companies.
- General bookkeeping to include posting invoices, bank reconciliations, updating fixed asset registers, balance sheet reconciliations and posting of journals to prepare for year end handover to the accounts team.
- Processing and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
- Preparation of management accounts and cash flow statements.
- Ability to investigate and interrogate accounts to deal with any issues that may arise.
- Provide assistance to the payroll bureau to assist with the processing and administration of employee pay for various clients. This will entail both processing and submission of data to HMRC and pension providers along with liaising with the client to ensure pay deadlines are met.
- Dealing with various admin tasks as may arise.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise own workload and keep to deadlines
- Qualified bookkeeper AAT or equivalent desired but not essential.

Car ownership and driving licence required.

Due to the nature of the role, confidentiality is a must.

Salary dependant on experience.
