About the role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to join our team in Brent, London. The successful candidate will work closely with children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who require additional support due to their SEMH needs.

Application Requirements:

• Experience working with children with SEMH needs in a school or similar setting

.• Strong understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning and behavior

.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents

.• Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equality in education

.• Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, both in the classroom and in specialised support settings

.• Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies to support students' learning and social development.

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEMH needs.
